Located within one of the world's oldest and most prestigious auction houses, Michelin-starred Bonhams Restaurant is the perfect Mayfair destination for lunch or simply to relax with coffee or a glass of wine.
Our Restaurant also affords you the opportunity to sample some of the world's great wines at affordable prices. Selected by Richard Harvey, Master of Wine and Head of Bonhams Wine department, and Charlotte Logan Jones, our sommelier, the constantly evolving, eclectic list currently includes Burgundies from Sylvain Cathiard, Jean Grivot and Comte Lafon, Château Lynch-Bages 1985 and Cheval Blanc 1982.
At least twenty wines are always available by the glass or you can enjoy our excellent house wine, imported direct from the small Domaine Saint-Amant in the southern Rhone.
Theo Clench worked was part of the original team that was awarded a Michelin star in 2015, within a few months of opening. He has spent the past year in Australia honing his technique and experiencing new ways of cooking. “I would describe my style as modern European”. he says. “I’m passionate about sourcing the highest quality ingredients and one of the pleasures of working in a relatively small restaurant like Bonhams is the chance to support smaller niche producers. “My year in Australia was an eye-opener and I will be reflecting that experience in my menu, which will place an emphasis on fish, sourced from the day boats in Cornwall. I will also be taking full advantage of the game season to offer teal, snipe and woodcock, as well as hare and venison.”
Having worked in other London institutions such as The Harwood Arms and The Goring Hotel, Célia brings a wealth of experience and a charismatic warmth to the restaurant floor. She has a natural passion for and knowledge of wines, and her favourite grape is Syrah.
Over 10 years’ experience in wine, and having travelled extensively around the European and Australian wine regions, Charlotte manages the 200 strong wine list at Bonhams. She works closely with Tom to ensure the wine pairings are balanced with his subtle yet flavoursome food.
The aim of our list is to offer a good selection of well-made interesting and affordable wines which complement Tom Kemble’s food. Many of the wines have come from our regular sales here in New Bond Street and we are constantly on the look out to buy in one-off parcels of exciting and rarely available wines. These can be served by the glass or 50cl carafe thanks to the two Enomatic machines we have installed and we hope you will take this chance to try some legendary wines.View wine list
